Water & Sanitation are the biggest problem of the Kasur. It is the reason that Kasur is conceded as worst polluted area in Pakistan. Due to the contaminated water and poor sanitation conditions, Cancer, Hepatitis (A,B,C,D,E) Asthma, Fever, TB, Stomach Diseases, Skin infections, eye problems are prevalent among the masses.
GTO mobilized the communities of Muhallah Eisa
Nagar, Chucki Piyare Laal and Street Mashkian wali to ensure their
20% contribution for the construction of their Streets and Drainage
system. GTO gave technical assistance to CCB and secured funds for
sanitation project. Local Community not only gave 20% project cost
but also participated in the implementation of whole project.
GTO got funds from local government and launched street soling (Brick Pavement) and drainage projects at Bhassarpura, Kasur.
GTO also mobilized funds through Citizen Community Boards for Sanitation Projects and successfully, completed need based development work in village Goharrh, Matta, Raja Jung, Mustafaabad and Klarkabad and in this way more than 8 million rupees were mobilized for sanitation schemes in backward areas of Kasur.
